The Birthday girl!

I love this picture of her, she added the necklace to her outfit. This is her favorite necklace, although she loves any kind of jewelry. She loves Hello Kitty and can spot it from a mile away! She is a little ball of fun, she loves to play and wrestle with Oliver and she can definitely hold her own. She LOVES her daddy and has him wrapped around her finger. She is very opinionated and likes to have things her way! On the other hand when she wants to be sweet, man she can make you melt. She loves to snuggle before bed. She loves to read and is talking more and more. She likes to tease her Daddy about talking to her "Boboos" (boyfriends) on the phone. Kinda scary that she is already talking about boyfriends:) We love her so much and feel so blessed to have her in our family!

Yes we are pregnant!! And we couldn't be happier. I am due March 3rd but they will take me a week or two early for the C-section. I was dying to know what we were having so we got an ultrasound at about 14 weeks and found out it is a boy! Oliver is so excited to have a brother and was already telling us that he can have his baby clothes and toys. Elle knows that there is a baby in my tummy but I don't know if she really understands yet. But she loves babies and always wants to hold them. So hopefully she will adjust well. We are so excited can't wait to meet him!

It is so hard to believe that my baby is four and will be going to school next year!! He is such a good little helper and loves his little sis. We are so proud of the little man that he has become. Sometimes I forget that he is only four because a lot of our conversations are so advanced. He is my little buddy and loves to make us laugh all of the time. He is definitely a little class clown. BEVERLY HILLS FIREFIGHTER

On January 3rd Josh got hired by Beverly Hills Fire Department. We are so excited for him to work at this Department. It is the best department, they take such great care of there firefighters! For the last 3 weeks Josh has been in training with four other guys that they hired. Yesterday January 21st was his graduation, it was so exciting.

I am so proud of Josh and all of his hard work. This is such a HUGE blessing for us. Josh has worked so hard and sacrificed a lot to be a Fireman. Originally he tested with 400 people and he was ranked #3 over all. Yesterday at his graduation one of the Captains that was in his interview panel, told us that Josh was the last interview of the week, he said that they were done, they wanted to go home and then Josh walked in a Dazzled them. He is the Captain on C shift which Josh will be on and he said that he is looking forward to having Josh on his shift. He has made us so proud! We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity he has been given.

We had a great Christmas Eve at Josh's parents house. Before dinner we went down to the park to let the kids play, then we had a nice Jewish dinner. Then the kids did a little role playing of the Nativity story.

There is this guy who has light covering every inch of his house outside and the inside is completely decorated. So we took the kids and they loved it. He has music and the light go with the songs, it was pretty cool. After the light/music show he turns on a snow machine and Ollie loved it.

We went to Knott's Berry Farm for Cops and Firefighters appreciation week and had so much fun. Not too many rides for the little ones but fun ones for the adults. It was a fun day with the whole family!

Decorating the tree was pretty interesting this year. Oliver loved hanging the ornaments and Elle loved trying to break them and take as many off the tree as she could. So need less to say we had to fix a few ornaments and the bottom of our tree was bare :)

Elle had a great Birthday, I think it was kinda overwhelming for her but she still had fun.

She is such a fun little girl, full of energy and spunk. She loves to tease Oliver and get a reaction.

She LOVES food, she will eat almost anything. She loves bracelets, purses and anything she can wear. She says Mama, Dada and then screams or grunts for everything else she wants or she will sign more, food and thank you. She loves to ride on our bike with the ibert and loves to be outside. We love you so much and are so glad that you are our little girl.

I can't believe that my baby boy is 3 years old! I still can't get over it and it has been over a month now!

Anyways, he had a great Pirate Birthday party. He ran around, jumped in the jumper and went down the water slide a million times! But I think his favorite part was the PRESENTS!

Oliver is such a great little man, we just love him to pieces. He is so sweet and caring and yet never stops making us laugh! He is a little joker ( I wonder where he gets that from). He cracks me up because he remembers everything! And he is a great little helper. We love him so much and we feel so blessed to have him as our son! Love you little buddy and Happy Birthday!

I took them in to get pictures the other day and this is what we got! I LOVED this one of them together. I also got Oliver's 3 Year pictures and Elle's 9 month pictures (previous post). It was a lot of work this time, Elle fell asleep on the way over so it was really hard to get a smile out of her. And Oliver was too funny he did everything the lady told him and first then slowly started to get bored, but we got one good one of each of them and then this one of them together!

7 months old

7 months as well...I loved this picture because I said "clap Elle, clap"

and she did and they caught it. That was her new "trick" for the month!

8 months old..she is just too sweet!

9 months old...this month was by far the hardest. She did not want to sit still
for anything and this was the only one that even resembled a smile..oh well.

Her Doctors appt. is on Monday so I don't have all of her stats but I know that is still super CHUNKY! Her two top teeth just broke through yesterday and she got the bottom two at 7 months...this makes me a little nervous, She has already bit me once and that was not fun! She has been crawling, standing and walking along the furniture for about a month now. She has just starting to try to stand on her own but is still really unstable. She babbles and talks to her toys and Oliver. She screams at us to let us know if she wants something we have. She is still a BIG Mama's girl, which I love, but she has gotten better about going to other people. She loves her Daddy to put her to sleep when he is home. She loves to play with Oliver and mess up anything that he is building. She hasn't sucked her fingers for about a month now, which is good and bad in some ways, now she nurses ALL night long, but at least she won't be sucking them when she is older. She loves vanilla yogurt and anything sweet. She has been drinking out of a sippy cup for a few months now. She is such a sweet little girl and we love her so much!

So we try to go to Disneyland pretty often and we just went on Tuesday and that will be the last time we can go until the end of Summer..but thats ok because it was way too hot and crowded. These are pictures from Tuesday and the time before back in May.

Wow it has been so long since I have updated our blog!

We have been pretty busy, but nothing too exciting just the usual.

Oliver (in his 4th of July Hat) and Elle laughing with him.

Yes, she is already crawling! I can't believe that she has grown up so fast!

She started crawling at 7 1/2 months and almost right after she started going up the stairs.

And now she pulls herself up and tries to stand on her own! I am so sad that she is no longer a little baby!

Our 1st Beach Trip

We headed out to the beach for the first time a few weeks ago and we had the best weather!

I love this picture of Elle in the sand, she loved it!

6 Months

Elle's 6 month pictures

I really can't believe how fast time flies by, she is actually almost seven months old already, but the doctor visits are scheduled at the end of the month so that is way these are always so late.

-Elle now sits up mostly on her own (with her boppy behind her just in case)

-She is ready to crawl, she gets up on all fours and lunges forward

-She moves all over

-She rolls both ways

-She doesn't like strangers talking or looking at her

-She is a Mama's girl but loves her Daddy too

-Sometimes will only let Daddy put her to sleep

-Still sleeps with us

-She is a very good eater (if you can't tell by her chunky arms)

-She is always happy

-She loves to play with her toys and Ollie

It makes me so sad to see how big she has gotten. She is always so happy and smiley. We love her so much and feel so blessed that she is our Baby Girl.

We signed up for this race at the beginning of the year and tried to train for it but got side tracked with the rain and cold, so we just started really running about three weeks ago. We had such a good time running in the Mud and water. We were a team of 4, Me, Bree, Brice and Monica..my camera died so i will have to post the other pictures later. None of us have done a race before, so this was a good one to start with. Although you get super muddy and dirty, it was way fun! It was a 3.8 mile race with obstacles and luckily only one hill and I think we finished in about 30 minutes..not too bad but next year we hope to be in better shape and beat that time. And Josh was so sweet to entertain the kiddos while we ran and he even got the pictures for us. I was pretty impressed with his skills of juggling 4 kids and the camera. Next year he will run with us. Thanks Babe, I am glad you were there to cheer us on!

I know these are a month late...exactly but i just got around to posting them.

She is getting so big...it makes me so sad that she is not a little baby anymore.

Elle is a total sweetie and loves to snuggle and is just the sweetest little baby.
We love her and can't get enough of her cute little personality!

4 Months Already!

4 Months Old

I love these pictures, I wanted to have her mostly naked to show how chuncky she is..I love it, she has rolls everywhere!

I can't believe that my baby girl is already 4 months old. It is crazy, she is getting too big too fast. She is the sweetest little girl and a great Baby!

Weight: 18 lbs. (98th percent tile!)

Height: 25 inches (65th percent tile!)

-Loves EATING!! She just started rice cereal with carrots and bananas

-Has started to roll over and likes her tummy time

-Knows who Dad, Mom and Ollie are and cries if she doesn't see us

Every month seems to go by faster and faster! But we are so grateful for all that we have and love our little family so much and just enjoy spending time together. We are so excited for this Christmas season with our new little addition. Oliver is getting so big and he is such a good little boy, he helps me so much and loves Elle. Elle is just the sweetest little girl and is full of smiles. They both bring so much happiness into our lives! And we are so grateful for them!

It was so much fun! Its always great to see family and good friends, it was so nice to

catch up with everyone!

ride Oliver was afraid of.

Oliver the Vampirate and Elle, I know it is her first Halloween and we didn't dress her up, not because I am a bad mother but she had a cold and we just kept her in the sling all bundled up so there was no point to have her dressed up...I know I still felt bad.

Oh and yes this is our little Vampirate, that is what he called his costume, not vampire. Isn't he the cutest Vampire Ever!! He loved having his hair painted black and having scary make-up on!

I guess the kids thought Ollie was pretty scaring because we tried to have them stand together to take a picture and none of the little girls wanted to stand by him or talk to him, it probably didn't help that Josh taught him to say "I want to suck your blood!"

Everything went really well and we are glad that we finally have our little girl with us. She did have to be in a Bili bed the first night and second day unless she was being fed. She has A positive blood and I have O positive and so that cause a little bit of an issue but all is well now and we are all home together as a happy little family. We are so grateful that everything went well and we feel so blessed.

For my Birthday Josh got me tickets to see Brad Paisley in concert!!! I was so excited but I had to wait 2 months until the concert. I have only been to one concert before this and we had such a good time. I was a little nervous because I knew I would be about 9 months preggo but it was fine. Deirks Bentley and Jimmy Wayne opened for him, we missed Jimmy Wayne, but Deirks Bentley was awesome!

Well it is official, Elle will join our family on October 9th! I will be having her

via c-section because of all of the problems that we had with Oliver.

We are so excited and can't wait, although I am a little nervous. It will just be a little weird going into the hospital and knowing that they are going to cut me open and then she will be here, just a little unnatural. I still feel like I am not entirely ready for her to come but I am definitely ready to be done being pregnant. This pregnancy has been pretty easy physically but emotionally I am a wreck, I cry over anything and everything. So I am ready for that to be over and I am sure that Josh is as well. Josh has been so understanding and supportive. I am so glad that I have him to lean on, he is the best! Weird to think that we will be a family of four in 18 days!! We are so excited.

I finished her bumpers a few weeks ago but I am

just now getting around to posting the pictures.

The inside is this green and white polka dot.

This is the outside a purple with green floral.

I actually am very pleased with how they turned out.

Thanks to my Mom for all of her help and expertise.

We finished them off with some green ribbon and

they are officially done!

We rented a pirate ship bounce house and water slide combo. Oliver loved it and did not want to get out of it. He was so brave and went down the slide all by himself. He still asks me to go in the jumper.

We had such a fun filled day with all of our Family and Friends. Some how I didn't manage to get a picture of Oliver with his cake or blowing out the candles...so hopefully someone else did. I made him a huge cupcake and all of his cousins ended up helping him finish it off. We hope that you had a great Birthday Oliver. We love you so much and had so much fun with you on your special day. You are such a cool little guy and we can't wait for you to big a Big Brother to Elle.

We spent another week camping up at Carp. We had such a good time and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Josh got to stay with us until Wednesday night and then he had to head back for work :( We missed him so much but we still had a nice and relaxing week on the beach. Oliver loved to play in the sand but wouldn't go near the water, which was kinda nice for me because it was too cold to go in. So I just relaxed on the sand and played with Oliver. We can't wait to go again next year with 2 kids, definitely won't be as relaxing I'm sure!

We took Oliver to get his 2 year pictures taken the other day and they turned out so cute. He did really well and posed every way the lady asked him to. This one is by far my favorite. He is getting so big and he has such a funny little personality, we love to just hang out with him. He is such a fun little man!

This is one of the other poses that we got. Josh loved this one because he said you can just see his eyes light up. He is such a happy little boy and loves to wrestle and have fun. It was so fun to watch him pose for the camera, he is loves to say cheese and stick out his bottom teeth and squint his eyes(not the best look).

Happy Birthday Oliver!!!

Oliver turned 2 on June 28th while we were on vacation, so I am a little late. He loved his Birthday and expected everyone to sing Happy Birthday to him all day long. We are so proud of him and what a good little boy he is. We can't believe that he is already 2!! We have enjoyed every minute of the last two years with him, he is such a sweet and happy little boy. He loves to help Dad and Mom with everything, he loves to count in English and Portuguese. He loves to watch Cars and Olivia. He loves Army men and playing baseball. He is always happy and loves to make Mom and Dad laugh with all his funny comments. We are so excited to see him with his little sister we know that he will be such a good big brother. We went up to Carp for vacation at the end of June. We had such a nice and relaxing time. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and lots of good company. Oliver really enjoyed being at the beach and playing in the sand, the water was way too cold for him, he wouldn't even go near it. He loved building sand castles and digging in the sand with all of his cousins. We are looking forward to going back up to carp at the end of July and enjoying so more fun and relaxation.

We took Oliver to the Zoo for the first time a few weeks ago and he loved it! Josh and I were bored stiff, it was my first time at the Zoo as well and will probably be my last..hopefully. But Oliver loved the Lions, Hippos and Rhinos. He also got a kick out of the monkeys that were chewing blue gum. He kept saying mmm...gum.

It's A Girl!!!!

Today we finally had our ultrasound for the baby and they told us that most likely the baby is a GIRL! Josh and I were both pretty shocked but definitely way excited. Oliver says that he does want a baby whether it is a boy or a girl so he didn't care, but still loves to give the baby kisses on my belly.

She was moving around like crazy for the ultrasound. We already had names picked out for either so we are going to name her Elle Bree Sattley.

This is the first pregnant picture I have taken, its pretty sad because we have a million pictures of me pregnant with Oliver...I really feel bad for the next kids. Anyways we are super excited and can't wait for her Arrival!

Sycuan Wildland Academy Graduation

On April 25th Josh finished his Wildland Academy for Sycuan Fire Department!! Yeah!!! We were so excited to see him, he was at the Academy for 3 weeks straight and we got very few phone calls in between, it was a rough 3 weeks. Josh definitely had it way worse. He was up every morning at 4:30 for PT and then in the classroom the rest of the days and any breaks that were given were spent doing push-ups and sit-ups! A few days were spent digging trenches up the sides of hills and then sleeping on the top of the hill in only their uniforms in 40 degree weather. Poor guy was completely worn out when he got home, he lost 20 lbs while he was there! We are definitely glad its over and he is back home with us! But we are so proud of all of his hard work and dedication, We love you! Me and Oliver with Josh Ollie was so happy to have his Daddy back!

Well I guess that it is finally time to post that we are pregnant!! Yeah, we are so excited!! I am 16 weeks along and we will find out what we are having within the next few weeks. Oliver is still getting used to the idea of a new baby and I don't know if he even really understands what it actually means, but he does love his baby cousin Emaline so I'm sure that he will love having a new baby in our home. I am due October 17th and we can't wait for the new addition. Yeah!!

We are so proud of Josh, he has worked so hard to become a Paramedic Firefighter and after all of his hard work and dedication He has just been hired on at Sycuan Fire Department! Yeah, we are so excited for him to start a career that he will truly love and be happy with. Oliver is so proud of him and he loves to wear all of Dads' new fireman gear. We got Ollie his own Fireman hat and he loves to wear his helmet with Dad!

Ollie at about 10 months old got his first boo-boo, he fell off of the hammock and really scraped his little noggin...we felt so bad!
But he was such a tough little guy and only cried for a few minutes and then was back to his happy old self.

We thought it might look better with a band-aid on it, but I think it just drew more attention to him. We hated going out with him because everyone gave us dirty looks..it was pretty bad!

On February 7th we went down to San Diego to have lunch with Corie. She flew in from Kansas City to visit for a few days. We met up with everyone for lunch and then went to La Jolla Cove. It was such a nice day...a little cool but no rain so that was nice. Unfortunately we did not get any pictures with Corie, she actually was kinda enough to take all of our family pictures and I didn't realize that we didn't have any with her. But it was great to see her and hang out with her for the weekend. Hopefully next time her family will be able to come!

Well I have finally started our blog! I have been checking everyone else's out and now I think that I am ready to begin...but bear with me I still have a lot to learn...it will probably be a rough few posts and then maybe I will get better.
